February in the Garden 2

 

 

In the top corner of the garden is our Darwin Petite Pink, this miniature Frangipani is next to the start of the top pathway around the Front Garden.

 

 

Following the pathway around

In the middle of the garden, on the right side, and visible from both the top path and lower path is Ixora coccinea Apricot Delight.  This is a taller growing Ixora with long leaves.

 

 

Following the pathway around the curve........

 



......... is a white Pentas lanceolata on the left hand side just before the bridge are



  

 

........and some Coleus........

 



........and  Graptophyllum pictum Aureo Marginata




Opposite these are some more Coleus

Sitting next to the bridge in a pot is one of my beautiful Plumeria pudica - the Hammerhead Frangipani.

  

 

On the other side of the bridge are some more Coleus next to a Balinese statue

 

 

 

 

 

The red Pentas lanceolata  has grown so big that it almost covers the pathway.  I will leave it like this until spring when it will get a hard prune......

 

 

 

.........and behind the red Pentas is a pink Pentas lanceolata

 

 

 

The vibrant colours of this Croton brighten up the corner here

The Brugmansias have always flowered about every 6 weeks in the warmer month. This year they have decided to flower about every 4 weeks.

Growing in the centre garden are....... 

 

Acalypha Java White, this one is only a baby and when it grows there will be a few changes to the surrounding garden.

 

Pentas lanceolata

 

A bit further along is a red Scutllaria costaricana next to the birdbath .......  

 

 

  ........and on the other side of the birdbath is one of my Justicia betonica plants.  The tiny flowers on this one are pink and the bracts are white with green veins.  Very pretty but you do need to look closely.

In the corner garden next to the entrance to the lower pathway is Plumeria obtusa...... 

 

 

.......and Sanchezia nobilis with a variegated Hibiscus....... 

 

 

 

.......in front of these is the beautiful Hibiscus Rosalind, a miniature Hibiscus with large flowers

 

 

 

Along the garden edge between the top and bottom pathways is the striking Galphimia gracilis......
